First Belgian 8B+ for Olivier Mignon

Olivier Mignon sent New Base Line in his boulder area of choice, Magic Wood, in Switserland. This is not only his first 8B+ boulder, but also the first Belgian ascent of this grade. He also managed to climb four 8B's and numerous 8th grader boulders, among which Body Count, 8A+. This outstanding performance brings Olivier a step closer to the absolute top of bouldering in the world. Some say he already is at the top ...

New Base Line seems a truly difficult boulder; a crack, a few minuscule holds, combined with a few hard movements, and, there you are, 8B+. Great performance, by Olivier!

Pour l'instant en Belgique je trouve qu'il y a vraiment une évolution positive et magistrale avec tous nos grimpeurs forts !!! C'est vraiment génial OLi !!! toutes mes félicitations tu le merites !!!!!!!

Oli a été un peu blessé l'année passée, a souffert du dos et n'a grimpé que 1 à 2 fois par semaine lors des derniers mois. Après personne n'a dit que quand il a pas la méga forme il était pas monstrueusement fort ^^
