Competition Muriel Sarkany meets Jacques Rogge in the IOC headquarters

With a lot of emotions Muriel Sarkany, Marco Scolaris and Jérôme Meyer met last Thursday the President of the International Olympic Comity, Belgian Jacques Rogge. This appointement gave arguments to the growth of sport climbing.

We felt that Muriel Sarkany got back. She proved it us last Saturday during the final of the Worldcup round of Brno. Muriel finished with a nice 4th place before Austrian World Champion Johanna Ernst. Korean Ja-In Kim and Austrian Jakob Schubert win.

Boulder competitors have participated to their latest international competition of the year in Arco. With an attendance of 2000 people it is one of the biggest and well organized climbing event of the world. Chloé Graftiaux took a fantastic 2nd place.

With 10 minutes delay on the official schedule, Muriel Sarkany missed the isolation of the Climbing Worldcup final of Chamonix. In good faith, she received a red card from the Jury President recommanded by a non sportive official of the IFSC.

What a great final. Chloé Graftiaux ended 4th of the last round of the IFSC Bouldering Worldcup in Eindhoven. She fought like a lion to finally get the place that nobody wants. Cherry on the cake: she finishes in the top 5 of the worldcup ranking.

The 3rd round of the Boulder Worldcup took place last Saturday in Vienna under the rain. Chloé Graftiaux failled to join the final. She finished 7th at two little tries more the 6th. Fortunately she gets two more places at the provisional ranking: 7th.

In Hall Austria, the surprise came from the final results. For the first time in history a boulder Worldcup did not have a winner in the female category. Anna Störh and Akiyo Noguchi finished both 1st. Graftiaux and Hayen took the 9th and 23th places.

Back to three months of heavy competition. The first round of the IFSC Boulder Worldcup took place last weekend in Kazo - Japan. The victory goes to local Akyio Noguchi and French Stéphane Julien. Chloé Graftiaux took the 12th place.
