Climbing Partner!

Hi! My name is Judith, and I am coming from America to Brussels, Belgium to study for one semester in January! I really would like someone to go outdoor and indoor climbing with, both which I have a lot of experience in! I like Trad and Sport and can occassionally get into bouldering too! Even if you don't need a partner, it would be cool if someone could show me Belgium from a local climbers perspective!

Welcome

Hi Judith, Welcome to Belgium.
You will see that there are plenty of indoor climbing gyms in Brussels. Depending where you live you might find your pleasure here: http://en.belclimb.be/home_indoor_climbing.asp?cl=1

You can also post a message to this FB group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/ILoveClimbing.Belgium

Enjoy your stay!

Thanks!

Thanks for the info! I will be living pretty near the center of Brussels, I believe in the business district on the Avenue Bisschoffsheim. What indoor climbing gym would you suggest that has good training and a cool atmosphere that's near me?

You might want to go to Terres Neuves http://fr.belclimb.be/gym_Detail.asp?gymid=45 technical climbs and a big roof. There is a bar in the middle of the gym, which is always nice for the atmosphere.

Really close, i would say there is Winner's Top http://fr.belclimb.be/gym_Detail.asp?gymid=51 I can't tell much: it's a wall attached to a squash center

A bit further (but well connected via metro) you have higher walls:
Stone Age (nice routes and more physical, no bar) http://fr.belclimb.be/gym_Detail.asp?gymid=43 and New Rock (less interesting routes but with a bar ) http://fr.belclimb.be/gym_detail.asp?gymID=33

Have a nice climb
