Quo CLIMBis?

On Sunday, the 6th of May, the alpinists elite met in Bolzano, South Tyrol, on the Castle Firmian (Messner Mountain Museum) to discuss together about the future of the high mountains and the alpinism. On the podium were Hervè Barmasse, Heinz Mariacher, Hanspeter Eisendle, Albert Precht, Denis Urubko, Roger Schäli and Reinhold Messner. All of them agreed with the statement Mountains should be leaven wild. Nature will then decide who belongs to the alpinists elite. Fear will then drive the others. Only in this way we can guarantee the future of alpinism and mountains.
