UIAA Worldcup Veliko Tarnovo

UIAA Worldcup Veliko Tarnovo

The first round of the UIAA Worldcup lead climbing (read: difficulty) took place this weekend in Veliko Tarnovo, a magnificent town in Bulgary. More than 60 participants from 22 different nations came together for the beginning of the new international climbing season.
Muriel Sarkany signed for a nice 4th place with her re-entry in competition climbing, one hold after the top 3, who all fell on the same dyno. The Austrian Angela Eiter became first. Chloé Graftiaux, 14th, didn't make it into the finals, as she missed only two holds.
Some surprises in the Men category: neither the Tsjech Mrazek, nore the French Chabot couldn't make onto the podium. Those who could: the Italian Crespi, followed by Dutch Jorg Verhoeven and the Swiss Lachat, back from an injurie!
