The days couldn't be worse. It's in the middle of the school exams that the first youth competition were planned this year. Pulled by Anak Verhoeven, a strong Belgian delegation did the trip to Imst this weekend were the first lead European Youth Cup took place. For the recent Begian champion, the competition was her first international test. She managed the event perfectly by topping the three route and winning in Austria.
With her, five of the fifteen other Belgian competitors made it to the finals. Among them, Merlin Matheys and Harold Peeters. For their first European Cup, the two now ones end up 8th and 10th in category B. A good sign for the next events. In category A, 6th place of Nicolas Collin for the boys and for the girls, Celine Cuypers ends 7th followed closely by Héloïse Doumont (10th). Rendez-vous in two weeks in Edinburgh for the next event.
