Black Diamond Enduro CF
Black Diamond is known for its great mountain climbing equipment. New proof of this is the new Enduro CF, a very well thought trekking pole!
The most fabricants of this kind of material base trekking poles on a screw between the lower and the upper part of it. With Black Diamond the stick is made with the fixation of the two parts, via the FlickLock system. This is very simple to use and very efficient. Its big advantage is that it can be used in humid conditions: No problem using them with wet gloves. Those who already tried screwing the two parts of the pole under the rain or in the snow will know what I mean?

With the Enduro CF, the FlickLock system is of use for fixing the upper part as well as the lower part. The pole is made of aluminium and carbon (lower part) and is thus extremely light, resistant and able to endure chocks during the trek. Under the handle, a piece of extra foam of 15 centimeters has been put to hold the stick a little lower, very using during ascensions, without this system you should readjust the length.
It?s during a little trek in « Whales » that we tested this piece of equipment. Report: with gloves perfect use ! You just need to click and the stick doesn?t move anymore. The leash is made with a surface like silk on the intern side, which provides a more comfortable touch with the skin. The weak point of the stick is in the braces to small at the ends (only 4 centimeters of diameter). They don?t give enough hold in the snow. Hopefully, Black Diamond already knows that and proposes an alternative witch is the Powder Baskets, with a 9,5 centimeters diameter.
For us, a very good successor of the old sticks with screws.
