Relive Alaska
December 7 2011,
In May 2010, Sam Van Brempt and Joris Van Reeth travelled to Alaska to climb Mount McKinley - also known as Denali - and the highest summit of North America. On the 7th of June, Joris made a deadly fall of 250m while they were in the middle of an attempt to climb the Cassin Ridge via the Japanese Couloir. Today, his body still hasn’t been recovered. For his climbing partner, a completely different story began, a story of courage and memories. A year after this fateful incident, Sam publishes a series of 6 video’s about the trip. Rock Nicolas Favresse made the first ascent of The Recovery Drink
Nicolas Favresse is just coming back from Norway. After 3 weeks of climbing and fighting against poor weather conditions, the trip finally turned out to be sucessful since he managed to make the first free ascent of his crack project: The Recovery Drink.

Alpinisme Wim Smets summits Lhotse
Wim Smets summited Lhotse this morning at 5h15am. With this last great performance, he just became the first Belgian alpinist to have summited five 8000-meter peaks.
